Natural Coloration Chart

Primarily for Soaps and Bath Product Making

At Mabel White we are BIG advocates of trying to resort to natural colors first whenever possible.  Beyond the theory of "all natural" we like to save money and use spices and products simply around the home, or already present in the features of things we may add.  Such as coffee grinds for our kitchen soap natural ooze a beautiful brown mocha color when the hot melt and pour soap is poured over it.  Most bath products are oil based and water based dyes, such as food coloring,  just will not mix.  Maker of toiletries has been known to use a tad of melted crayon to achieve pigment.  Lip balm makers can use a tad of old lipstick colors, including a simple white or gold frost sold by most cosmetic companies.  Just a little goes a long way.

Crushed rose petals and other floral petals can also be used across most of this color spectrum.  As when mixing any color, you can use a color wheel to achieve in-between colors.
