Hemp Body Butter Recipe

For Bath Products and Candles

Back to Supply Company

Hemp Seed Oil is nature’s richest source of the Essential Fatty Acids (76%) and is a rich source of GLA (3%). Hemp Seed Oil offers a good balance of Omega 6 to Omega 3 fatty acids (3.75 to 1), suitable for life long consumption.  It is also a  natural emollient used in lotions and other bath recipes.  For Candles we recommend the use in SoyWax™ no more than 10% and for Soaps 5%.  A pure & gentle blend that nourishes and cleanses sensitive skin. For normal to dry skin types.

Mabel White's Hemp Seed Oil has a light green color and a mild nutty flavor, a tasteful compliment to a variety of foods. It can be added to juices, smoothies, soups and sauces to create a rich creamy texture. Hemp Seed Oil is an excellent base for any salad dressing. You can substitute Hemp Seed Oil for other oils in recipes that are not heated above 160 C (320 F).

Hemp Body Butter Recipe

2-oz shea butter
1.5-oz virgin coconut oil
1.5-oz Mabel White's Hemp Oil
1.5-oz Mabel White's Beeswax Chips

This butter will melt into your skin, you may scent with 1-3 tbls <non-irritating> essential oils - great presentation in a 4-oz tin!!......its very important to know the properties of your essential oils in this recipe. especially good for elbows, heels and hard-working hands!!  I usually leave unscented and then 'spray' myself with a lightly scented hydrosol.

These recipes and many more can be found in The Bathroom Chemist and our new and revised Self Apothecary.
